BIOGRAPHY | |
Aaron
has been a working screenwriter for fifteen years. He recently
co-founded Virtual Artists, Inc., a writer-owned production and
distribution company for film, television and web-based content.Aaron graduated from UCLA with a degree in Screenwriting in 1988. He made his feature film debut by co-writing the Disney family film AIR BUD, which went on to become one of the most successful independently-financed films of all time and has, to date, sired seven sequels. Aaron also co-wrote the sequel AIR BUD: GOLDEN RECEIVER. Aaron currently has two films in production: the CG-animated feature CAT TALE, starring Sean Astin, Elisha Cuthbert and Alan Cumming, produced by Imagi Studios (TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES), and the live action family adventure THE THREE INVESTIGATORS: THE SECRET OF TERROR CASTLE, produced by Studio Hamburg. Recently he sold the features ELMER McCURDY to Yari Films (CRASH), ACTION ABRAMOWITZ to New Line with Tim Allen attached to star and TWICE IN A LIFETIME to Lightstorm with James Cameron producing. Previously, Aaron wrote and co-produced the Lifetime movie CHANGE OF HEART, starring Jean Smart. He also wrote for the Fox drama-horror series “KINDRED: THE EMBRACED,” produced by Aaron Spelling. He has written screenplays and teleplays for Twentieth Century Fox, Miramax, Paramount, the Disney Channel, Kopelson Entertainment, Showtime, New Regency and the Fox Network, among others. Aaron recently made his directorial debut with the independent comedy CHAPTER ZERO, based on his screenplay. The film, which stars Dylan Walsh, Penelope Ann Miller, Justin Kirk, Laurel Holloman, Colm Meaney and Lee Majors, was recently released on video. Aaron currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Writers Guild of America West. He is also on the Writers Guild National Council. He devotes much of his free time to teaching and consulting and has taught screenwriting classes and workshops in Los Angeles, Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Portland, Palm Springs, Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
